Hello and wonderful day to you all,
I am writing this entry in response to the emails I have received concerning my recent "Hoovsies Soapbox" entry exposing the frauds in the paranormal world.I thank you all for writing and will here give you more links that you have requested. These will be video's from YouTube.
Upon writing this entry I want to again solidly express to you that I AM a believer in the paranormal. It is simply that many of my views concerning certain paranormal events or those purported to have certain abilities have been changed.I wrestled with my own beliefs and values for months before coming to the startling conclusion that I was being "had".To address some of the questions that many of you had in your emails...Yes, I believe in God...Yes, I believe in an afterlife...Yes,I believe in spiritual connections with others...Yes, I do believe that the unexplained surrounds us. What I WILL believe in when proven conclusively to me is that "natural" psychics, mentalists and mediums do exsist beyond cold/warm reading techniques, magicians tricks and chance. Those who charge extreme fees to perform cold readings, charge by the minute on the telephone or constantly appear on television to prove that they are psychic is complete and utter hogwash in my eyes.Preying on the innocent victims: those seeking information on missing or murdered loved ones for example is an abomination to humanity. I for one will not stand for it...now that my eyes have been and will remain opened.
I thank you for listening and now, on to the video links.
Have a thought provoking day,
~breath{MS}~ aka ~hoovsies~

I read your posting today with interest and a smile on my face. I had mentioned that when I was getting the page set up to post that I was having interesting thoughts about your comments. And by the time I actually got the page on line I realized that you had accomplished exactly what you wanted to do. You had made me think about what I believed. We are bombarded these days with opinions that are presented as facts. There is a huge difference between someone's interpretation of the facts and actual fact. That gets compounded by the fact that not one of us sees fact -- we all se the world through our own eyes with our own "editorial" slant on life. The issues you deal with in your Soapbox are issues that will provoke reaction and in most cases that reaction will be emotional. That is good and that is what I think you wanted. There are two thoughts I would add -- bot paraphrased quotations. The first is from Willie Nelson: "They ain't wrong they are just different." (That is a whole soapbox discussion in itself as we in the western world have been taught from bith that there is "Right" and there is "Wrong" and of course coupled with that is that the delivery person for "Right/Wrong? messages is always delivering the "Right" message which makes everyone else "Wrong" My late cowboy friend had a more crude and basic view of life in hia thought that "Opinions are like a**h*les -- everybody's got one." And those opinions are all different thankfully.
